Tender colors of the last month of the year. The gentle shades of this sunset promise the frosty breeze that so often comes in January. Snowdrifts grow, trees put on snow caps. Trees hibernate when frost comes, moisture does not run through the tree body in wintertime. The silence of winter forests is broken only by the neat step of an animal or the voice of a rare bird.
